Christmas in Dublin,
Done Right
2 min

It has been two weeks since Society Studios landed back in Leeds after three heavy, unforgettable days in Dublin.

Our annual Christmas escape has become a tradition that hits harder every year. We speak in black and white, and for one weekend, we drank in it too.

We left Leeds Bradford before sunrise, tired, loud, running on caffeine and instinct. By mid-morning, Dublin had us in its grip. Temple Bar cobbles underfoot, the first Guinness poured properly, the whole city humming around us. Jameson followed, complete with whiskey, stories and a toast to a year that pushed us, stretched us and shaped us. Pasta fuelled us before a scavenger hunt turned the city into a battleground of chaotic creativity. Temple Bar after dark delivered everything you imagine, and a little more.

Friday took a different rhythm. A slow breakfast. Time to breathe. A moment to feel the city instead of simply chasing it. By midday the pace had returned, with a pub crawl, a bite or two and an Irish dance lesson that confirmed a simple truth. We design better than we dance, but our commitment is equal in both. From the Vintage Cocktail Club to a private dining room at Hawksmoor, the evening shifted tone. Behind closed doors the conversations deepened, the laughs sharpened and the night took on its own pulse.

Saturday arrived softly. Breakfast together. Wandering. Shopping. Tattoos for the brave. A final walk along the river. One last Guinness to seal the weekend. By nine o’clock we were in the air again, tired and content, carrying something you cannot create inside four studio walls.

Back in the studio, the difference is clear. More focus. More fire. More of what makes Society feel like Society. The trip wasn’t a break from the work. It strengthened everything we bring to it.

Dublin, you gave us exactly what we needed. Until next time.
